Yes, I think the issue of whether to include studio and/or video only creations in with live performances is one question. You mention only girl bands, but of course there are guy bands that commonly feature nude girls on stage -- one example being Flaming Lips.
But then, Flaming Lips also creates promo videos that are not live performances, but that do have female nudity in them. Do we sepparate out the live performances and the video creations into separate threads? The more specific we become with sub-threads, the more complicated it gets for those trying to post as well as for those who are looking to find things.
Opera is an interesting case in point. I enjoy opera and was confused when I first arrived at NOS that there was no opera section. Like you, I have no problem with putting opera in with theater.
Shouldn't TV be in the same general category with movie clips? And then, there's also that odd type of programming that is video series made specifically for Web distribution, not for television, that right now gets lumped in with TV because there is nowhere else to put it -- examples being Naked News and Red News. And where will I put my collection of videos of nude videos that are from Radio, not TV?
This is certainly a topic that requires some thought and discussion. I'm not sure this Sloppy Jane music thread is the ideal location for this kind of discussion. It mayt get moved to the Help/Site Improvement section or something. hahaha
