When posting a video/film, that is always better to provide a storyboard (thumbnails).

How ? Easy.

Get a nice free player called : MediaPlayerClassic

Nice, I am looking for something able to create storyboards in batches (like for all movies in folder) :) - I guess that this is not possible in this player, is it?

Hi,

Not with the MPC, but you may try with another nice media player called TheKMPlayer, it has a batch mode :

CODICE

and get the player at :

CODICE

Hope it helps :D

Hi flowerspower,
unfortunately, this isn't a good idea. I have installed KMP, removed tons of useless addware installed with KMP :B): , installed automatization utility, resolved missing components issue.. and found out that KMP is not only slow (and user unfriendly) but also unable to handle lot of videos I have... while e.g. VLC player has no problems with anything :) (except creating storyboards :( )
So I think I will try to create some script allowing to work MediaPlayerClassic with batches instead.. but I am afraid that my knowledges in this area are not good enough :D I have heard about ImageGrabber II too, so I will take a look how this app works.
Thanks for the tip anyway.

Edit: I have just tried Image Grabber II and I don't think I can find anything better. It's free, small, quick (<10 seconds for 1 storyboard on my slow computer) and no problem with batches :)

Hello frvomac,

I agree with you, KMP comes now with a lot of craps (was not like this in the past, you may look for older versions here :

Anyway, it seems you have found the good one :D
