| With firefox, open tools | options | advanced | network | settings (how firefox connects to the internet) [these are various tabs, menu items, etc]
Then you should see a button 'manual proxy configuration', so put the ip address, to the http proxy box, the port into the port box, and then check 'use this proxy for all protocols' (I'm not sure if that's really necessary)
The OK out of everything, and the next tab you open should using the proxy. The free ones especially tend to be slow, and you want to use 'anonymous' or 'elite'; 'transparent' ones don't conceal the fact that you're using a proxy from whatever it is that you're trying to stream from.
Oh yes, and, proxies are often *extremely* slow to start streaming, but deliver OK when they finally start working. Well the one I posted still works for now, but they tend to be short-lived.
And, when you're done, you can go back to the network setting screen and push the 'no proxy' button. The proxy you entered will appear greyed out, and can be reactivated by pushing the appropriate button, if it still works.
