That's not always true. Especially if it's a rare clip and the forum member does not make a copy before publishing the link. But then I recommend something else: make a policy that the vimeo links must be text links, that is non clickable links which the user has to copy manually into the address bar. This way the owner of the vimeo video will see the increase in views, but he won't see the referring site (this forum), so it's less likely he will make the clip unavailable. |
